Verified Reviewer | Greenwood Village, ColoradoThis is a scamming company and I’m trying everything in my power to take them down-
There is too much detail to list- straight scammers who are in business to take homes by extortion and money laundering- In reference to everyones post - Im writing Congress and have gotten the FBI involved to take these evil people down- In summary - i have sent excel spreadsheets to show payments made on time- I filed bankruptcy because I didnt agree with the amount they said I owed - they claimed they never received the trustees payment from my bankruptcy- I emailed the Trustee and judge to let them know this company is trying yo extort the same amount they received from my bankruptcy-I will not stop until the company is shut down and compensation is made for the stress we all have been through.

Verified ReviewerPREDATORY LENDER
Our mortgage was procured by this company. After reading the reviews / warnings, this is what we did to avoid their traps:
1) To preface: By law, you have a grace period to transition your mortgage over to another mortgage holder.
During this grace period they are not allowed to charge you late fees. Do not allow them to trick you into sending them a check! They will receive, process, then claim they never received it. As the months go by with the appearance of fixing or finding the problem, they are just waiting you out until they can start hitting you with late fees.
THIS WORKED FOR US:
Even though pressured many times to send a check, we refused.
The only avenue of payment we were willing to do was AUTOMATIC PAYMENT from a bank account that we set up with controlled funds in it.
2) We were proactive when it came to proving home owner insurance too (they will add charges on if you can't verify your insurance quickly).
Our insurance company sent a fax (bad idea) which they couldn't find. We got them on a conference call with our insurance company who stayed on the phone with them until they acknowledged receiving our proof of insurance.

Verified ReviewerThey are SCAMMERS
Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Steer clear.
They continue to say that our mortgage is late when it is NOT. After Covid they purchased our loan that was in modification with PHH. They bought it only in July. They reported it as being 120 days late last month and now they reported it 180 days late when in fact, they havent even OWNED IT THAT LONG!
Furthermore, under the LAW (specifically, the FEDERAL CARES ACT) when a loan is under modification processing, it is ILLEGAL TO NEGATIVELY REPORT IT! We have sent letters to them with no results. Ive contacted the Attorney General of Colorado as well as the Better Business Bureau. This COMPANY IS NOTHING BUT SCAMMERS AND LIARS.
They do not answer correspondence nor do they even care about their customers!
They are FALSELY REPORTING NEGATIVE INFORMATION TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS.
If this has happened to anyone else please reach out to me! I truly believe that this is happening to MANY PEOPLE.

COMPLAINT
EVERYTHING WAS FIND UNTIL MY LOAN GOT SOLD TO STATEBRIDGE MORTGAGE. THE FIRST PAYMENT WENT THROUGH FINE, AFTER HAVING TO WAIT 30 MIN ON HOLD TO GET A REPRESENTATIVE.
THEN ABOUT THE THIRD PAYMENT USING THE SAME ACCOUNT I ALWAYS PAID MY MORTGAGE WITH, THE SYSTEM STARTED KICKING MY PAYMENT OUT AND CHARGING ME 10 DOLLARS. SO THE FIRST TIME I THOUGHT I ENTERED THE ACCOUNT WRONG, BUT IT HAPPENED 2 MORE TIMES ON THE SAME PAYMENT AND THE FEES CHARGED ME ANOTHER 20 DOLLARS. AFTER CALLING STATEBRIDGE MORTGAGE COMPANY NUMEROUS TIMES(COULD NEVER GET ANYONE ON THE PHONE. AFTER ABOUT THE 50 TIME I GOT RICARDO ON THE PHONE(ASSHOLE)WOULD NOT LET ME SPEAK WITH A MANAGER.
HE TOLD ME THE MANAGERS DON'T GET IN UNTIL 9:00AM, AS OF TODAY, I HAVEN'T HERD FROM A REPRESENTATIVE OR A MANAGER. I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
- Callbacks from supervisors need assistance

User's recommendation: Unless you like getting charged junk fees and bad customer service. I would stay away from this company.
Fraudulent Reporting
I purchased my home on 10/30/2020. The company I worked with completing this loan was excellent.
When the loan was sold to a servicer the first mortgage was sent to Mr. Cooper with no issues and the second Mortgage was sent to State Bridge. We received a bill in the mail shortly there after for the payment that was due for the second mortgage with State Bridge. I have the transaction history showing when this was pulled from my account on 12/10.
On 1/1 I paid the next payment over the phone. This was for double the amount. The representative stated that this was due to them never receiving the payment or at least it wasn't reflecting in their system. They then stated if they found that I had over paid, they would credit the difference to my account.
This was applied on the date of 1/22 in the amount of 67.60. I did not pay February as there was enough credit on the account to cover this amount. They did not apply that payment until 2/19 and charged me a late fee as well for $1.35 as that payment was due on 2/1. In March I went online to pay the bill and was unable to login.
The account was frozen. I called the number multiple times, left voicemails, and sent emails all of which I am able to prove through phone records and saved emails. I did not receive any response. The phone call would end after 45 minutes on hold.
When I tried the option to have someone call me back, they never did. I continued to try to contact the company as my payment was becoming more and more late and finally by APRIL, I was able to get into contact with a representative. I asked them to explain what the issue was, and it was due to them applying the payment late in February, the account was frozen due to it being late even though it was already a credit on my account. The representative would not give me any further details about how late it was without giving me a reason why.
I paid whatever the amount due was over the phone and my account was then unlocked. I have received my credit report which is now showing that I have a 60-90 day late in April when it was brought current.
I have all documentation to dispute this information and will be placing my review on all websites and using all of my resources until this is fixed. I will also be filing a complaint with the CFPB in reference to this fraudulent reporting.
- Total incompatence
- Level of dishonesty
- Customer service
Preferred solution: Send documentation that they reported incorrectly to the credit bureaus and report correctly.
User's recommendation: Do whatever you can to not use this servicer.
Horrible fraudulent company
User's recommendation: Fight them. Never give in.
Statebridge did not pay my taxes with my escrow account money.
Statebridge never paid my taxes or my homeowners insurance. I would have to call them around April 1st to remind them to pay them.
We actually refinanced our mortgage to get rid of them. They only got our mortgage because they bought it from our previous lender. When we told our new lender that Statebridge never paid our taxes, or they were always late, I guess they didnt believe a lender didnt pay the taxes even though the money we paid Statebridge went into an escrow account. The company they hired to look up back taxes didnt do their job, so when we were notified by the county/state tax department that the taxes were not paid, our new lender paid them as they informed us by law they had to.
So now we had to pay our new lender our back taxes again, because Statebridge refused to pay our back taxes. Statebridges answer to us was your new lender paid them, so we dont have to.
User's recommendation: Get out from under this lender, they do illegal things, and you can’t speak to the escrow department.
Complaint
I had sent a check for July's payment. I checked my account on July 15th and noticed that the payment was still in there.
I called Statebridge, left my # for someone to call me back. A Ricardo called back, I explained that I had sent a check for my payment and noticed that the amount was still there. I asked if I could pay the amount over the phone. I did and paid 4.67 for the fee.
I explained to Ricardo that since I had paid over the phone, I would put a stop payment on the check. He said ok. Late in July I started getting harassing phone calls to call them. When I finally got Ricardo again, he said I owed them July's payment, plus 10.00 fee for the check I had stopped payment on.
I told him that he took my payment over the phone on 7/15/20 and gave him the reference # to prove it. He asked what about the check, duh. I have been going back and forward with these people, I've proven that I don't owe anything to them. My payment is $81.67 a month and for two years I've faithfully paid them $82.00 every month.
I spoken to Ricardo, Rosa and a Marcus and proven I don't owe them anything. Even if I owed 10.00, my extra $.33 a year adds up to $9.90 a year and for two year and a half yrs is $24.75. I asked to speak to Gregory Flagg who is the manger, they keep hanging up on me.
I advise anybody, please stay away from Statebidge company. And I still get harassing phone calls twice a week.
Preferred solution: Correct my bill and stop the harassing phone call

Verified ReviewerComplaint about being charged a 10.00 fee when you don't owe.
On July 15, 2020, I noticed that my payment was still in my account and hadn't been taken out. I had sent them a check and it should've gotten there before the 15th and since it would've been late the 16th, I called Statebridge and requested a call back.
A customer rep named Ricardo called me back and I explained my situation. He said that I could make a payment through their payment center but it would charge a 5.00 fee. So I paid $86.67 through their payment center, called my bank and had them to put a stop payment on the check. I kept getting calls from Stratebridge and finally today(August 17, 2020), Ricardo called me back.
He stated that since I had put a stop payment on the check and they didn't get it that they were charging me $10.00. Why? I paid my loan for July and before it was late. Whether I paid it by phone or check it was paid.
I DO NOT owe them anything.
This is a ripe off. Please square this away.
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Pay attention to your payments so that you won't go through this.
